Transatlantic British Businesses Acknowledged by U.S. and UK Government at Virtual Roundtable

DzԻDz–Today, the Chargéd’Affairesof the U.S. Embassy in London, Yael Lempert, and UK Minister for Exports, Graham Stuart,welcomeda group of business representatives from across the UK to discuss their ambitions and achievementsasbusinesses who have made the transatlantic corridor akey elementof their growthstory.

The businesses present served as examples of the growing number of businesses and stakeholders who participate in the UK-wide trade campaignChampions of Trade.

Atthis afternoon’svirtual roundtable session, business leaders hadthe unique opportunity to showcase their products,storiesand ambitionsdirectlyto theChargéd’Affairesand UK Minister for Exportsand talk to them about how transatlantic trade and investment is part of their futuregrowth,bringing investment, innovation and growth toUK, the U.S., and the local communities in which they operate.

Chargéd’Affaires,U.S. Embassy in LondonYael Lempert said:

“U.S. and UK businesses have deep and broad relationships that provide millions of jobs for workers in both countries. In the wake of the pandemic, those partnerships will be more important than ever. This has been a tough year for our businesses, and we intend to do everything we can to help more U.S. and UK companies cross the Atlantic, find new opportunities and come back from this pandemic even stronger than before.”

UK Minister for Exports, Graham Stuart said:

“Delighted to meet the Champions of Trade which includes some of the 32,000 Small and Medium-sized Enterprises across the UK already exporting to the U.S.

“From food to finance, UK exporters are showcasing the best of British in the U.S.

“The government is committed to making it easier for UK businesses to export goods and services to the U.S., particularly as we begin the economic recovery from COVID-19.”
