National Tartan Day recognizes the contributions made by Scottish-Americans to the United States. In the early beginnings, two pipe bands and a small but enthusiastic group of Scottish Americans marched from the British Consulate to the UN.Ìý Now 26 years later, the parade has grown to include hundreds of pipers, thousands of marchers and many more thousands cheering from the sidelines.ÌýÌý

National Tartan Day Cocktail Reception

Kick-off Tartan Week with the Saint Andrew’s Society at the National Tartan Day annual cocktail reception hosted for the New York City Scottish community to celebrate its love of Scotland and all things Scottish!Ìý

The National Tartan Day Cocktail Reception is presented by the St. Andrew’s Society of the State of New York.

Kirkin O' The Tartan Service

The Kirkin’ is a pan-denominational Christian blessing of the tartans of the clans, celebrating Scotland and Scots in America. A time-honored event for the whold family. The Pre-Parade brunch is immediately following. See below for more information on the Brunch.Ìý
